Prince George Parenting Circles

  • Fathers Support Circle at Hadih House (2105 Pine St) Come meet other fathers who want to be a part of a support group and talk about parenting issues. Childcare and a snack are available.   • Kikino Metis Child and Family Services Parent Support Circle (1546- 6th Ave.) Kikino Metis Children & Family Services Society. For caregivers of all ages! Parent support circles. Occasionally parenting classes and workshops are offered within the circle. Classes and support circles teach caregivers to help their children develop self-esteem, responsibility, and courage.  Learn tips for clear communication and respectful discipline. Prince George Grandparents (Kinship) Circles

  • GRG Support Circle at Hadih House (2105 Pine St) Childcare and a snack are available. Meet other Grandparents who want to be a part of a support network for each other. The Village Newsletter

The Village Parent Resource Registry is a registry of programs, resources and services for parents in the Prince George community.

The Village is

  • A valuable resource for parents in the community
  • An indispensable referral tool for service providers who work with parents
  • A cooperative network to increase access to and knowledge of parenting services

The Village is available monthly, with updated and new information about what’s happening for parents in the community. It is available on our website, by email, or a hardcopy can be mailed.

Kamloops GRG Circle - In Development

Interior Region Facilitator Training - Vernon

PSS Initial Facilitator Training helps new volunteers to understand their role and strengthen the knowledge and skills needed to facilitate a parenting or grandparenting Support Circle. PSS Initial Facilitator Training is also available to professionals who wish to hone their group facilitation skills and learn more about the PSS self-help and co-facilitation model. Our next facilitator training in the BC Interior region will be held May 05-07, 2017 in Vernon. Please check the initial volunteer facilitator training flyer and note the application deadline is April 13, 2017.
